To the profession, Ruth is a trainer's trainer.
For more than a decade, Ruth Alpert has collaborated with studio owners and teaching institutions in their teacher-training courses. A movement re-education specialist, Ruth completed her Pilates training with Michele Larsson in 1992 and is an Associate in the Core Dynamics Pilates Teacher Training Program. She was certified in The Trager® Approach in 1987, Gyrotonic® in 2002, and The Alexander Technique in 2007.
One of her special skills is teaching anatomy for movement.
A long time trainer of trainers, Ruth leads workshops in technical aspects of movement, as well as in the integrative Bod·ease℠ approach she developed to restore the individual's natural state of harmony.
To the individual – and organizers of workshops and conferences – Ruth is a refreshing partner and guide.
In groups or one-to-one, Ruth's unique Bod·ease℠ sessions help to release old, tension-producing physical patterns and restore natural ease.
They draw on both Ruth's lifetime of professional experience in many of the major modalities of movement re-education and her gift of inspired, intuitive precision.

“Ruth is a masterful teacher – she can explain anything. What she teaches is her own. But when you learn it, it becomes yours forever.”
– Mary Ganzon, Movement Teacher and Bodyworker
“I spontaneously released 40 years of emotional torque in my spine when Ruth lightly guided my movement with her hands.”
– Elsie Maio, Private Client
“Ruth was recommended highly by other masters. Seasoned, trained, her extensive background, the range of modalities she has studied…Ruth brings to the table something different: Everyone can cook a chicken, but this is one recipe we never heard of before.
We knew of Ruth's reputation as the definitive anatomy teacher. She didn't disappoint us. Every single instructor said, ‘whenever Ruth comes in to teach, I'm coming back!
’”
–Marie Artman, M.Ed, Pilates Loft, St. Simons Island, GA
“After taking classes with Ruth I am more free in my movements, can do things I never thought possible, and it all feels effortless.”
